How your products look online is super-important. The first thing that most eCommerce merchants do is establish
a style — what kind of background you use, how much exposure, are the products by themselves, or display in
context as "lifestyle" images. All that is important for the consistency of your brand and the look of your
website theme. Those are the more subjective aspects of product photography.
We're nearing a year now that we've all been in various stages of unrest and lockdown in our
respective states and cities. With us all being separated, places closed, and looking
at our homes and belongings, it's no wonder that e-commerce has grown at such leaps and
bounds through 2020. There was one glaring mistake that I kept running into, though,
regardless of the size of the vendor.
Surprisingly, a lot of it continues to be relevant even today. With all of that in mind, it still catches me off
guard when avoidable issues are in a store. In this case, we're going to talk about product images.
If you've been watching the journey of Hotcakes Commerce over the years at all, you know that it has a very interesting past. It began as a different platform altogether. It became a wildly successful commercial e-commerce solution that consistently was in the top 3 products in the DNN Store. It then became an open-source e-commerce platform, making it freely available to the world. This is the solution you're reading about and know about today.
Our team has been working hard at delivering the next great release of Hotcakes Commerce. We primarily focused on some updates that both our support clients and the community really wanted. We’re very happy to announce that version 03.02.02 is ready for you and it brings with it some very popular updates.
